Giving an instantly unique appearance to the classic dreadnought guitar, Martin have crafted this Martin D-10E from sapele.
With sapele used for the back, sides and top, not only does it look unique but the Martin D-10E has a unique tonal character too.
This beautiful wood produces powerful midrange with high impact punch along with bright and airy trebles.
Within the body of the Martin D-10E is X-style scalloped bracing which strengthens the guitar's build while enhancing resonance, sustain and projection.
Due to their broad range of tones with well rounded low end, the dreadnought is the most popular acoustic guitar shape on the market and makes the Martion D-10E Sapele extremely versatile.
Performing Artist Neck
Attached to the body is a Performing Artist neck which has been specially crafted to ensure a high level of playability and comfort.
Enhancing playing speed, it also features a high-performance taper while its hand rubbed finish ensures a wonderfully comfortable grip for your fretting hand.
Atop the neck is an FSC certified Richlite fretboard which offers a great playing surface.
Furthermore, the Martion D-10E Sapele has been treated to a Plek fret dressing.
This high-precision process gives you an incredible fret dressing for peerless performance across all 20 frets.
High Quality Hardware
Up on the headstock of the Martin D-10E Sapele, you'll find chrome enclosed gear tuners providing precise and secure tuning of your strings.
On the body, there is an FSC certified Richlite bridge fitted with a compensated white TUSQ saddle.
TUSQ is made from a high heat and pressure process which provides consistency throughout the entire saddle.
As a result, your string energy is transferred extremely efficiently through to the resonating sapele top for amazing tone and sustain.
Fishman MX-T Electronics
While many electro-acoustic pickup systems leave your guitar sounding lifeless as soon as you plug it in, that's not the case with this one.
Fitted with Fishman MX-T electronics, the Martion D-10E Sapele maintains the rich, vibrant and natural tone that makes it such a beautifully sounding guitar.
Furthermore, Fishman MX-T electronics feature a built-in soundhole tuner which, when activated, mutes the output audio. This allows you to discreetly tune your guitar, whenever you want - all without a pedal.
