Classic Saturn Sound

This 3 piece shell pack features a maple/walnut hybrid construction. The bass drum has a slightly thicker 8ply 7.5mm shell, while the toms are 6ply 5.1mm.

The Maple and Walnut blend of the shells serves to offer a kit with both a strong attack and rich tone, with projection ideal for both live and studio settings. It’s a super versatile, well-rounded drum kit.

Not only does it have the power and attack needed for modern music styles, it also offers depth with full, rich tone. It’s the classic sound that has made the Mapex Saturn series so popular.

Maple is characterised by an even amount of high and mid frequencies, with a slightly warm low end. Walnut, meanwhile, offers an equal amount of high, mid and low frequencies producing a big warm sound.

SONIClear Bearing Edges
