Crafted using 6-ply 100% birch, the shallow depth shells produce a snappy and responsive tone with excellent projection. The snare boasts exceptional versatility due to its size, easy to tune for a variety of style-applications. From the toms, you can expect a certain punchy warmth, whilst the kick drum delivers a rich, low-end depth - complete with insulated bass drum claws that reduce rattling from longer playing sessions.
SONIClear Sonic Clarity
Thanks to Mapex's innovate SONIClear technology, this Mars 5 Piece kit is really allowed to shine. The SONIClear Bearing Edge technology is applied to all of the shells, allowing for the direct transmission of sound and a reduction of unwanted frequencies - resulting in a strong fundamental pitch and an incredibly easy-to-tune drum skin, perfect for lower tunings.
Complete with SONIClear tech on the rack toms, the suspension system and rubber feet increase overall resonance by preserving vibrations and reducing stress, ultimately improving overall playability and tuning.
