The last public performance of The Beatles was on 30th January 1969 on the gusty rooftop of a the Apple Corps building at number 3 Savile Row, London.

Consisting of the same 3 ply mahogany / poplar blend utilised in the original snare model, the new 2019 Jazz Fest features a central 1/8 inch poplar ply sandwiched between two 1/16 inch plies of mahogany.
Mahogany is characterised by its muted highs, smooth mids and warm rich lows which serve to deliver a snare sound with a beautifully vibrant and resonant tone.
Meanwhile, poplar provides soft highs and mids combined with boosted warm lows for a sound that's smooth and even.
The combination of the two results in a snare with a lusciously warm low-end response that delivers a fat back beat.

Continuing the vintage style of this snare, the 14 inch x 5.5 inch Jazz Fest features the same 8 lug configuration found on the original incarnation.

The '64 vintage snare bed is accurately centred and graduated to ensure the snares lie correctly to achieve the optimum level of contact between the snare wires and the snare side head to gain a sensitive playing response.
The 3-step baseball bat tone control allows you to easily select the level of dampening you require to ensure you always achieve the exact tone you want.
The internal dampener offers three levels of adjustment allowing you to vary the contact of the dampener with the underside of the batter head.
Increased contact between the dampener and the snare head achieves the maximum amount of suppression, while reduced contact enables a more open tone.
The interior of the Jazz Fest snare also features a white inchœreso coat inch in keeping with the specifications of the 1960s original.
