An all-new sensation in clubs, the Club Date USA is a brand new redesign of the Classic flat imperial lug. This 3-piece shell-kit continues the Ludwig tradition of being the ultimate performance shell-pack, and comes complete in a Silver Mist Sparkle finish.
A New Take on a 1970s Club Classic
The Flat Imperial Lugs that the Club Date USA shells are based on, made their debut on Ludwig drum kits during the 1930s. The original Club Date models were released almost 20 years later, and continued as a popular choice well into the 1970's.
7-Ply Shell Construction
The new Club Date USA shells are constructed using an all new layup: 2ply maple outer shell, 3ply poplar core, and 2ply maple inner. This construction results in an overall full-bodied low-end, but with soft highs, and a pronounced volume on your mids. This is further complimented by the full round-over bearing edge, which helps reinforce your sound with a bold bottom-end and soft attack.
