No one piano fills the requirements of every pianist, and so Korg have decided to recreate some of the world’s finest pianos, giving you the opportunity to perform on each of them via the C1 Air.

Taking cues from the leading piano manufacturers of Germany and Japan, the G1 Air allows you to experience completely different and highly realistic piano sounds.

The German Piano is possibly the most famous piano in the world and has become the choice of many top concert pianists for many years. Offering brilliant highs and nice, rounded bass, the German piano is characterised by its richness and power.

The Japanese Piano, characterised by its dynamic sound is often used in a wide range of musical genres from classical to jazz and pop music.

You’ll also be able to enjoy a wide variety of other instrument sounds beyond that of the acoustic piano. The C1 Air offers a total of 30 rich and expressive sounds including that of electric piano sounds, organ, clav, vibraphone, acoustic guitar, strings and much more.

Three high quality effects in the form of brilliance, reverb and chorus add to the depth and atmosphere of your sound with optimal effects being preset for each of the built-in sounds, meaning all you have to do is select the sound you want and enjoy playing with the perfect settings.

Weighted Hammer Action Keyboard and Pedals

When designing this amazing home piano, KORG wanted to ensure that pianists can enjoy an authentic piano playing experience and so the C1 Air features the real weighted hammer action 3 (RH3) keyboard which accurately simulates the physical experience of playing an actual acoustic piano with aspects such as the heavier playing feel found in the lower register which gets lighter as you move up to the higher register keys.

Key touch control is present, offering you a choice of five sensitivity levels; light, normal, heavy, stable and fixed which allow you to specific how you’d like your playing dynamics to be reflected in the sound.

Korg’s C1 Air also features key-off simulation to recreate the sound produced when you lift your fingers from the keys.

Combined with the incredible damper resonance that has been painstakingly recreated for the German Grand Piano and Japanese Grand Piano sounds, producing sympathetic resonance of the strings in an acoustic piano while the damper pedal is down, you get an extremely lifelike sound.

Just like a real grand piano, the C1 Air comes fully equipped with three pedals; damper, soft and sostenuto with the damper and soft pedals also featuring half-pedalling, allowing for fantastically detailed expression.

Newly Designed Speaker System

Korg have specially designed a new speaker system, just for the C1 Air, allowing it to faithfully deliver the piano and other instrument sounds in incredible detail.

Its high-quality speakers are powered by a 25W x 2 amplifier for a great, powerful sound that is incredibly rich, deep and clear.

Delivering everything from the powerful, rounded bass to brilliant, sparkling highs, the nuances and expression of your performance will be amazingly produced for you and your audience.

Packed with Extra Features

40 built-in piano songs along with ten demonstration songs showcasing the different sounds of the C1 serve as inspiration and a great practising tool. You can set them to your preferred tempo, play back the right and left-hand parts separately and even make use of an A-B repeat function to practice specific sections to perfection.

A two-track digital recorder allows you to instantly record your performance, great for analysing or archiving your songs. You can even record each hand separately and layer them together or record additional tracks and add them to a previously recorded song.

By pressing just one button, you can apply a bass sound to the lower register of the keyboard so that you can continue playing piano with your right hand and while performing a bass sound with your left – perfect for jazz style performances.

Press two tone buttons simultaneously and you can layer the two sounds together, a great use of this would be to layer piano and strings to get a wonderfully rich piano and orchestra combination.

Partner mode can be enabled, allowing you to split the piano into two identical sections on the left and right, each with their own damper pedal – perfect for piano lessons or performing with a friend.

Furthermore, with the built-in stereo sound optimiser, you can play long into the night and enjoy the full presence of an acoustic piano sound even when using your headphones so you don’t bother family or neighbours.
