"Unleashing the beast" was never more appropriately termed than when referring to switching on he Fuzzly Bear from KMA Audio Machines. This handmade, premium-grade boutique fuzz pedal is highly influenced by the criminally underrated Jordan Bosstone of the 1970s, but features a much thicker mid and low-end frequency range, making it perfect for both guitar and bass alike.
Old-School Fuzz Tones with a Modern Twist
The Bosstone-inspired circuitry of the Fuzzly Bear has been adapted for plenty more low-end frequencies, and a bias control (giving you the option of more "Skin" or "Meat") has been added to help you explore the versatility of the circuit even further. Whether you want a sharp, skinny fuzz tone, or a girthy wall of distortion, the choice is entirely yours and can be achieved at the simple turn of a control knob.
Versatility is the Key
The excellent Gain control on the Fuzzly Bear is where the magic really happens though. This control knob determines the shape of your fuzz tone - back it off counter-clockwise o get a dirty, chunky overdrive sound, or turn it up for an increasingly thick fuzz. Once set to full, the smooth decay of the Fuzzly Bear's circuitry will make way for a staved, gated fuzz sound that's perfect for those classic 60s/70s tracks.
As if that wasn't enough to convince you, the Fuzzly Bear is also of a True Bypass construction - perfect for the tone purists out there!
Handmade Boutique Construction
Each and every KMA Audio Machines pedal is designed, assembled, silkscreened, tested, and numbered, by hand in a small Berlin workshop. Despite the premium-grade components and boutique construction though, pedals like the Fuzzly Bear remain an affordable option for most working musicians and tone enthusiasts alike.
