Mick Thomson Signature
Slipknot are a band that needs no introduction to anyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past twenty years.
Lead guitarist Mick Thomson has been an integral part of this much-loved band, with his heavy and aggressive guitar sound inspiring countless players over the years to follow suit.
For this now-signature sound, Thomson turned to Jackson guitars, and this Pro Series Soloist SL2 is his latest signature edition model.
Top Notch Construction
This guitar has been specially-designed to withstand the aggressive technique and tone that Thomson is renowned for.
Featuring a streamlined, bound Mahogany body, coupled with a super-fast playing, graphite reinforced "through-body" one-piece Maple neck, this lightweight axe is made to offer maximum comfort and high-speed playability.
In addition to this, the neck is adorned with a 24-fret, compound-radius (12"-16") Ebony fingerboard, that's been shaped for easy chording towards the nut, and fluid lead lines towards the body.
Custom Voiced Pickups
Powering this sinister, no-nonsense guitar, is a set of Mick Thomson signature Seymour Duncan Blackout humbuckers.
These awesome pickups are specially wired to handle even the complex drop-tuned riffs that Thomson is famous for, whilst offering the kind of energy and output of the original Blackouts - one of the most popular SD pickups of all time.
With emphasized percussion on palm-muted notes, and crystal clear, mid-heavy articulation on lead-lines at your disposal, these pickups are as aggressive or mellow as you could wish for - suited to almost any situation.
