Shorter-Scale Upright Electric Bass
With its 1/4 scale (34") string length and compound radius fingerboard, the Ibanez UB804 manages to deliver a genuine upright playing experience in a more compact form.
Each of the strings are mounted on an Aero Silk MR5 bridge - a design which sees the maximum amount of string to body transference, with minimal interference from the other strings.
In addition to this, the maple body, and maple/walnut neck, help to deliver a naturally bright and resonant tone.

Piezo Pickup
For sound amplification, the Ibanez UB804 is equipped with an AeroSilk Piezo pickup system, with Volume and Tone controls for shaping your sound.
This system ensures that your amplified tone is as natural as possible, as the Piezo is designed to sense the difference in string vibrations caused by different techniques.
This means that whether you play bowed or pizzicato, the pickup will adjust its output accordingly to give you an equalised level across the board.
