Dynamix Pickups
For that rich, vintage, no-nonsense sound, you can't go wrong with the PJ Pickup configuration on the TMB30-IV. With the Split Coil (P) pickup you get all of the meaty, thumping bass tones normally associated with the famed P-Bass, and with the Single Coil (J) pickup you're presented with all of the bite and clarity normally associated with a J-Bass.
Shorter Scale Construction
Short-scale basses are an ideal choice for smaller/younger players or complete beginners. The shortened scale makes the strings that little bit easier to play, which is a huge bonus when you're first finding your way around a fretboard.
