The gorgeous neck on the SR1700B-NT is of a 5pc Panga Panga/Purpleheart construction. These woods have been specially chosen for their tonal clarity and superior note attack characteristics, whilst at the same time being tough and hard-wearing enough to provide a slim grip shape without any loss of strength.

In this way, Ibanez have managed to create a solid neck, that is slim, lightweight and fast-playing, making it ideal for even the most complicated of playstyles without compromising your tone or sustain levels.

Premium Fret Edge Treatment

Each of the frets on the SR1700B-NT has been specially rounded to provided the smoothest of playing experiences. This finish perfectly compliments the neck's slim profile, and helps make for a supremely comfortable performance.

Nordstrand Pickups

The specially designed "Big Single" pickups from Nordstrand have been developed to produce a full-bodied, powerful, and aggressive sound, almost akin to that of a humbucker, but manage to sucecssfully retain a single coil's characteristic clarity.

Premium Grade Ibanez Electronics

The SR1700B-NT contains the best electronics system that Ibanez has to offer. This custom circuitry features a 3-band EQ with an EQ bypass switch, but worry not: the Treble pot will act as your Tone control if the EQ is bypassed.

There's also a Mid Frequency switch, to provide a cut / boost to that frequency range. The overall circuit gives you precise control over your tonal output, allowing you to sculpt the perfect sound for each and every situation.

Mono-rail Bridge

The Mono-rail V is the perfect bridge to compliment the SR1700B-NT. The string isolation provided by the Mono-Rail V ensures that you get the maximum amount of vibration transfer without any intereference.

Graph Tech Nut & Gotoh Machine Heads

The Graph Tech nut has been specially designed to offer much lower friction than other synthetic nuts, giving you a much clearer sound, more sustain, and working in tandem with the Gotoh machine heads to ensure superior tuning stability.
