Great Craftsmanship
The body of the Ibanez RG550DX is made from Basswood and has sharp horned, deep cutaways allowing for easy access for the highest frets.
One of the greatest features this amazing Genesis Collection guitar has inherited from its forefathers is the Super Wizard neck.
Made with five glued, solid pieces of Maple and Walnut woods, this neck boasts incredible stability and super smooth playability.
The neck holds a highly playable bound Granadillo fretboard with striking sharktooth style inlays.
Awesome Electronics and High Quality Hardware
The versatile combination of two humbuckers and a single-coil pickup give you a guitar that can produce a wide range of tones.
There’s a V7 neck pickup, an S1 middle pickup and a V8 in the bridge pickup position. A 5-way pickup selector switch allows you to use the pickups exactly how you want to.
You can dial in your preferred sounds with Master Volume and Master Tone controls keeping things simple.
The Ibanez RG550DX has also been fitted with a classic Edge tremolo bridge so you can deliver some seriously expressive and dynamic performances with your strings returning to perfect tuning.
