Premium-Grade Construction
With the new Ibanez Premium SR2405W you get a gorgeous 5-string bass that lives up to the Premium prefix in every way.
Crafted with a solid Mahogany body, capped with a gorgeous piece of figured Maple, and sporting a KTS Titanium reinforced Atlas 5-piece Panga Panga/Purpleheart neck, this bass not only looks the part, it offers a rock-solid level of stability too.
The tonewood combination on the body results in a naturally warm and fat low end tone, but with a bright and clear attack (further complimented by the Panga Panga fingerboard). Thanks to the KTS Titanium reinforcement rods in the neck, you also get an incredible amount of natural sustain when you play too.
Aguilar Super Double
Featuring two rows of Alnico V pole pieces, the pickups on the SR2405W produce a thick tone, with a high amount of individual note articulation.
Complimenting these pickups is a 3-band Ibanez Custom Electronics EQ system, with a 3-way Mid switch, and even an EQ bypass switch, in case you wanted to alternative bween Active and Passive modes.
Adjustable Monorail Bridge
As spotted on many of Ibanez's top-end bass guitars, the SR2405W sports a wonderful set of MR5 bridges.
Each of the 5 strings has it's own adjustable bridge, which results in a greater amount of string vibration transference to the body, giving you a more natural-sounding tone.
In addition to these, each of the 5 saddles is string-width adjustable, allowing you to alter the string spacings by up to 1.5mm to suit your own preferences.
