A reliable, workhorse gigging guitar
The Ibanez AEG8E is the perfect blend between technology and tradition. Courtesy of a AEQ-2T preamp, it translates the natural detail of the acoustic tone into an electric signal. This makes it a great choice for on-stage performances and touring, as well as studio recording. The built-in tuner ensures you won't be left out-of-pitch when you don't have a pedalboard or clip-on tuner handy.
The AEG8E features many of the modern guitar tonewoods and materials that make it a solid all-round instrument. A Spruce top, Sapele Back & Sides combined with a Purpleheart fingerboard and bridge complement each other to perfection.

Stunning Electro-Acoustic Tone
The Ibanez AEG8E is a hybrid Grand Auditorium / Dreadnought body shape, which makes it well-suited to a wide range of player preferences. Its a superb balance between power, projection and elegance.
The Ibanez T-bar under-the-saddle pickup equalizes the volume from each string and delivers a well-balanced signal, while the Ibanez AEQ-T2 preamp provides the extra punch of on-board EQ.
Built-in Tuner
The Ibanez AEG8E also features a convenient, easy-to-read digital tuner, located on the upper bout.
Quality Hardware Package
Chrome Die-Cast tuners ensure smooth tuning, and Ibanez Advantage Bridge pins improve tuning stability. The Okoume neck, in satin finish with a Purpleheart fretboard, provides greater playing comfort.
