Crafting the Ibanez AEG1812II
Spruce, a standard in modern guitar crafting, has been used for the AEG1812II’s top. Perfect for use as a resonating top wood in acoustic guitar thanks to a number of great qualities including its broad dynamic range and crisp articulation, the solid Sitka Spruce top makes the Ibanez AEG1812II electro-acoustic guitar suitable for all styles of acoustic guitar playing.
Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck which features a satin finish making for an extremely smooth playing experience for your fretting hand.
Atop the neck is a treated New Zealand Pine fretboard while a cutaway in the body of the AEG1812II allows for easy reach of the higher frets – a must have for guitar solos and other adventurous playing styles.
High Quality Hardware and Electronics
At the headstock, along with the Ibanez logo and graphic you will find chrome die-cast tuners allowing for easy tuning of your strings.
On the body of the Ibanez AEG1812II is a treated New Zealand Pine bridge, with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, facilitating great transfer of energy from your strings into the Spruce top.
Allowing you to plug in and play live and loud, the Ibanez AEG1812II electro-acoustic guitar features a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-SP1 preamp.
The AEQ-SP2 preamp is great for live performances thanks to its easy-to-use 2-band EQ which allows you to adjust the bass and treble frequencies to get your preferred tone and a volume knob allowing you to adjust the preamp gain level.
What’s more; the Ibanez AEQ-SP2 also features an onboard tuner so you can tune your guitar whenever you need to – perfect for gigs – and you never have to take along a separate tuner.
Your live sound and studio options are expanded by the inclusion of both balanced XLR and ¼” output.
