Crafting the Ibanez AE315
Solid Sitka Spruce, a standard in modern guitar crafting, has been used for the AE315’s top. Perfect for use as a resonating top wood in acoustic guitar thanks to a number of great qualities including its broad dynamic range and crisp articulation, the solid Sitka Spruce top makes the Ibanez AE315 electro acoustic guitar suitable for all styles of acoustic guitar playing.
Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck which features a satin finish making for an extremely smooth playing experience for your fretting hand.
Atop the neck is an Ovangkol fretboard which sports a specially designed wooden fretboard inlay, giving the Ibanez AE315 a unique and beautiful aesthetic as does the Abalone and Maple rosette.
The AE315 also features Ibanez Original Scalloped X-bracing which maximises transmission of string vibration while maintaining the integrity of the solid top. This gives you a wide dynamic range with detailed accuracy.
Rigid and balanced Ibanez Original Tone Projection Back Bracing gives the AE315 electro-acoustic guitar a solid and secure build while improving the sonic character with extended sustain and superior projection.
Furthermore, a cutaway in the body of the AE315 allows for easy reach of the higher frets – a must have for guitar solos and other adventurous playing styles.
Last but not least – the body, neck and headstock all feature wooden binding which further protects your guitar while adding an extra touch of class to the aesthetics.
High Quality Hardware and Electronics
At the headstock, along with the Ibanez logo and graphic you will find chrome die-cast tuners with 18:1 gear ratio allowing for extremely precise tuning.
A bone nut and saddle combination keeps your strings aligned nicely while adding a bright sound with enhanced sustain.
On the body of the Ibanez AE315 is an Ovangkol bridge, with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, facilitating great transfer of energy from your strings into the resonating solid Sitka Spruce top.
