Chambered Mahogany Body
The Mahogany body is a classic single cutaway style allowing for easy reach of the higher frets for easy guitar solos.
Being chambered, the Gretsch G6134T’s body enhances the harmonic richness as it lets the air resonate between itself and the Maple top.
As a result, you get livelier and more articulate tone, perfect for that great Gretsch sound!
Attached to the body is a Maple neck with an old-school standard “U” shape offering a substantial grip.
The Ebony fretboard has a 12” radius allowing for huge bends without fretting out.
High Quality Hardware with Bigsby Tailpiece
The Gretsch G6134T Limited Edition Penguin features chrome hardware throughout which perfectly complements the Casino Gold finish and silver sparkle binding.
On the body of the Gretsch Penguin is a pinned rocking bar bridge that works in conjunction with the Bigsby tailpiece. This allows you to get dynamic and expressive vibrato performance while keeping your strings perfectly in tune.
Up on the headstock is a set of Grover Imperial locking tuning machines providing precise and secure tuning.
Dual TV Jones TV Classic Pickups
Giving the Gretsch Penguin its powerful voice is a pair of TV Jones TV Classic Filter’Tron pickups.
Featuring squeezebox paper-in-oil capacitors, these awesome humbucker style pickups give you even smoother vintage tone.
Furthermore, with the inclusion of a no-load tone control you get extremely smooth tonal taper with sculpting the sound of these pickups.
To fully tailor your output, the Gretsch G6134T limited edition Penguin gives you separate volume controls for each pickup, a master volume and a master tone control. Each of which feature the classic Arrow style control knobs.
There’s also a three position toggle that allows you to switch between the two pickups or use both at once.
