Hollow Body Construction and Great Playability
Made from laminated maple, the thin, hollow body of the Gretsch G5422TG produces rich, vibrant and resonant tone.
With its sound post bracing and over-sized F-holes, you get fantastic acoustic projection too.
The double cut body shape not only looks great but also provides easy access to the higher frets.
Attached to the body is a maple neck with a standard "U" shape for that substantial, old-school playing grip.
Atop the neck is a traditional Rosewood fretboard with a flat 12" radius for speedy playing and easy bends.
True Filter'Tron Voice
The engine that really drives the Gretsch G5422TG's voice is a set of Black Top Filter'Tron pickups.
These two humbuckers give you a wide range of tones radiating brightness and warmth while delivering some serious punch.
The upgraded control layout is very versatile too.
You have independent volume controls for each pickup and a Master Volume so you can get the balance and level just right.
Furthermore, the Master Volume features a treble bleed circuit so you retain all the crisp clarity of your tone, even at lower volumes.
Using the 3-position toggle you can use both pickups together or either one individually.
You can further shape your sound with the Master Tone control.
High Quality Hardware
Fitted to the headstock of the limited edition Gretsch G5422TG are vintage-style open-back tuners giving you precise, secure tuning with old-school aesthetics.
On the body, there's a secured adjusto-matic bridge providing precise intonation across the board.
