Critical to achieving that great Gretsch sound is the incredible craftsmanship and materials that Gretsch put into the guitars they make.
5-ply Maple has been used to form the beautifully resonant hollow body of the Gretsch G5420TG.
With its single cutaway design, this limited edition G542T0G provides unfettered reach of the higher frets; essential for easy solos.
The Maple neck has a standard "U" shape, giving you that classic playing feel.
Atop the neck is a traditional Rosewood fretboard providing modern playability with 22 medium jumbo frets.
A Graph Tech NuBone nut provides excellent sustain and all the tonal characteristics of genuine bone but with uniform consistency.
Black Top Filter'Tron Humbuckers
Making the most of the Gretsch G5420TG's fully hollow body is a set of two Filter'Tron pickups.
Powerful punch with clear tones and full presence, these pickups give you everything you need for clean jazz-style performance to hard rocking overdriven tones.
Adding to the versatility of the G5420TG Electromatic are its upgraded controls.
Each pickup has dedicated volume controls so you can get the perfect balance between the two while a Master Tone allows you to shape the overall sound.
In addition, there's a Master Volume which features a treble bleed circuit so you can enjoy fantastic tone, even at lower volumes.
Finally, a 3-position toggle allows you to use either pickup individually or both at once.
Furthermore, providing classic Gretsch style, the gold finished control knobs all feature the famous "G-Arrow" design.

Up on the late-1950s style G6120 bound headstock, you'll find vintage-style open-back tuning machines providing precise and secure tuning along with old-school aesthetics.
