Vintage-Inspired
During the early 1940s, Gretsch released one of their earliest archtop guitars - the Synchromatic 100 - and it's been a much-loved and respected instrument in the decades since.
The G100CE evokes the spirit of these awesome guitars, both in terms of looks and tone, and would make a stylish addition to any players collection.
Classic Looks
Featuring an arched Sitka Spruce top, with those violin-style F-Holes, pearloid wide-block inlays, a 40s-era headstock shape, and even a vintage-style Gretsch headstock logo inlay, the guitar most certainly looks the part.
In addition to this, the height-adjustable Synchromatic bridge and tailpiece, with the medium-jumbo frets and the bound Rosewood fingerboard, deliver the kind of vintage playing feel that's reminiscent of those original 1940s-era archtops.
Vintage Sound
With it's laminated Maple body, and vibrant Sitka Spruce top, the Gretsch C100CE delivers that classic, big-hollow-bodied sound popular with jazz and big band players throughout the 1940s and 1950s.
In addition to this, the Gretsch single coil pickup allows you to project a crisp, clean representation of your playing via an amplifier.
