True 1950s Feel, Tone, and Style

Gibson's original Les Paul, the illustrious Gold Top model, is a much-loved classic in terms of looks and tone. With the new Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s P90 Gold Top you get a fitting tribute, and a much-welcomed return to that original Gold Top design.

Traditional Construction

In true vintage Gold Top fashion, this new Gibson Les Paul Standard features a solid Mahogany back, with a gold-finished Maple top.

In addition to this, there's a set-in Mahogany neck with a Vintage 50s profile shape, for that truly authentic 50s feel.

As a nice finishing touch, Gibson have included an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and a set of Vintage Deluxe tuners, giving you an incredible level of tuning stability.

Exquisite Electronics

Like the original 1950s Gold Top Les Paul guitars, this new Standard model is equipped with a set of P-90 single coil pickups.

Despite their nature, these pickups offer a thicker sound than a traditional Single Coil, sitting somewhere between them and a humbucker in tone.

Each of the pickups is equipped with independent Volume and Tone controls, allowing you to shape your sound accordingly, and making the guitar suitable for a wide range of musical genres.
