Kirk Douglas Signature
Guitarist Kirk Douglas is best known for his work as part of house band The Roots from the NBC show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
Whilst Douglas is renowned for playing a number of Gibson guitars, his standout model is, without a doubt, his three-pickup SG Custom.
Now, Gibson and Douglas have worked closely to recreate this excellent guitar, from the materials used to the excellent electronics and hardware.
Premium- Quality Construction
Featuring a solid Mahogany body, carved with the slimline SG Dual Cutaway shape, this guitar offers the naturally rich tone that SG's are renowned for.
In addition to this, the set-in Mahogany neck and TOM-style bridge combine for increased sustain and resonance.
As if that wasn't enough, there is a vintage-style Lyre Tail Vibrola tailpiece for add slight shimmers and inflections to your playstyle - as well as looking rather incredible.
3-Pickup Design
As stated above, this excellent electric guitar comes equipped with a trio of powerful Gibson Custombucker pickups.
These pickups are regarded as the "Holy Grail" amongst Gibson purists, due to their closeness in tone to the original late 1950s PAFs.
Versatile Electronics
In addition to these three pickups, the guitar sports a Master Tone and Master Volume control, along with an individual Volume for each pickup - which sports a Push/Pull Coil Tap function.
The 3-way pickup toggle acts in the way as that on a standard SG - for selecting Neck, Bridge, or Both - whilst the volume control for the Middle pickup allows you to blend it in with your toggled pickup selection.
