Selective Tonewood Construction

The Gibson experts have detailed the tonewoods on this acoustic to be expressive and balanced. Using a combination of a Solid Sitka Spruce top and Solid Rosed back and sides. Handcrafted using time-honoured construction methods and techniques.

What you get is an acoustic guitar full of character. A deeply warm bass with balanced mids and delicate highs. A loud projection right across the guitar, with an unmatched sustain an everlasting resonance.

Dynamic, responsive and elegant. It'll invigorate loudly and sing sweetly.

Authentically Gibson, you won't hear another acoustic like it. It will inspire and bring the best player out of yourself.

Traditional Design, Modern Essence

Originally introduced in 1960. The Hummingbird has been used by an extraordinary amount of legendary players. Notably by Keith Richards and Brian Jones. Using a Hummingbird to pen hits such as 'Satisfaction', 'Wild Horses' and 'Sympathy for the Devil'.

The classic Square-shoulder design is still present in the Gibson Hummingbird guitar.

However, they've slimmed down the depth of the body and added a cutaway.

Perfect for the modern player that needs a historically voiced instrument with the playability of a more contemporary guitar.

Responsive Neck

Understanding the player's needs is paramount for Gibson. Introducing the advanced response neck profile. This delivers a comfortable and responsive neck. Being comfortable at every point on the Richlite fingerboard is certain. And the fingerboard has a flatter radius, making fretting easy.

These upgrades offer smooth navigation all over the fingerboard. Making chording and fretting effortless. And upper fret access is superb, thanks to the cutaway.

Natural Sounding Electronics

Installed into the Gibson Hummingbird M Acoustic is the LR Baggs VTC premium pickup. Ideal for the pro-musician, this high-quality LR Pickup system delivers a detailed and balanced natural output of your guitar.

With a highly responsive design, this pickup works in harmony with your Gibson Hummingbird. Letting the listener experience your true sound.

With the volume/tone controls mounted discretely into the soundhole, it won't be obtrusive on the overall Hummingbird aesthetic.

Hand Scalloped X-Bracing

This Gibson features traditional hand scalloped advanced X-bracing with an 'X' frame across the board. This lets the guitar sing with an even and balanced tone. Wherever you play on the fingerboard, the guitar will be clear and full of clarity.

What's more, the X-bracing also adds structural integrity to the whole guitar. Increasing the stability and durability of the instrument. Making sure that your guitar lasts a lifetime.
