With the Gibson SG High Performance, you get a stunnning quality instrument with that familiar SG shape, a pair of Burstbucker Pro+ pickups, AA Flamed Maple body, and a sleek Slim Taper Mahogany neck. This beautiful instrument is made for serious, hard-rockers who aren't afraid to look good whilst shredding out those high-octane riffs.
BurstBucker Pro Pickups
One of the key factors in the classic Gibson SH tone in recent years is the pickups. These popular humbuckers (known as BurstBuckers) feature a characteristically sweet harmonic complexity and crystaline clarity, which has been further enhanced for the BurstBucker Pro.
The fatter, meatier sound of the BurstBucker Pro and Pro+ offers you more drive and attack than the originals, granting you that classic "Patent Applied For" tone with extra attitude, with added noise reduction to help keep things quiet even when using high gain settings. This is further enhanced by the 4 Push-Pull switches (housed in the Volume and Tone Pots) and DIP switch*, which give you a vast array of tones/wiring options to play around with in the search for those elusive sweet spots.

Stunning Looks
Thanks to the powerful combination of a Mahogany body and carved maple AA+ figured top, the Gibson SG High Performance not only puts out a gorgeous tone with bags of sustain, but also looks every bit the premium-grade instrument that it is. The stunning wood grain characteristics of the carved maple top is set off nicely by the Trans Ebony Fade stain, which leaves you with an unforgettably lasting impression and is set off nicely by the Chrome hardware and pickup covers.
