G&L's original S-500 model made its debut in 1982, and represented Leo Fender's evolution of his earlier double-cutaway bolt-on guitars. Designed and constructed to deliver several new innovations into the mix, the all-new G&L Fullerton Deluxe S-500 is even more versatile than its predecessors, and offers you a phenomenal playing experience.
Stylish and Versatile
With the G&L Fullerton Deluxe S-500 you get a familiar-looking guitar that packs plenty of punch, made with a lightweight Swamp Ash body, in a Blue Burst finish, a Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, and a hard rock maple neck topped with a maple fretboard.
Fitted with a set of three MFD single-coil pickups, that famous G&L PTB system, and even a mini-toggle switch for changing the order of the pickups, tonally there isn't an awful lot this guitar can't achieve!
MFD Pickups
Specially designed by Leo Fender, the MFD single coil pickup trio on the G&L Fullerton Deluxe S-500 offer you the tonal versatility that you'd expect, with much more besides! Thanks to the latter part of the S-500's PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) system you can roll back on the Volume and Bass controls without losing any of that familiar Single Coil sparkle.
In addition to that, the S-500 also includes a mini-toggle switch that allows you to select all three pickups together, or even just the neck and bridge.
Dual-Fulcrum Vibrato
A sublime addition to the Fullerton Deluxe Comanche is, without a doubt, the Leo Fender designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato bridge. This superb example of engineering know-how allows you to bend your notes up or down, whilst at the same time offering unbeatable tuning stability, and manages to never feel clunky or uncomfortable when used.
