Fender Standard Precision Bass, seen here in a timeless Brown Sunburst, a legendary bass guitar with unmistakeable Fender sound and style.
Brown Sunburst Fender Standard P Bass
Designed by Leo Fender himself and introduced to the masses in 1951, the Fender Standard Precision Bass was a milestone in the world of electric bass guitars.
Over 60 years later and it is still one of the best-selling, most popular bass guitars on the market – providing the bass lines across all styles of music.
Quality Construction, Classic Design
Fender have used Alder to craft the double cutaway body of the Precision Bass, with the cutaways allowing for easy reach of the higher frets; great for performing solos and other adventurous bass playing.
Traditional bolt-on construction joins a Maple neck to the P bass, with a modern neck that has been designed for enhanced comfort and performance with a contemporary “C” shaped profile.
The fretboard is made of Pau Ferro and features 20 medium jumbo frets with simple dot position inlays and a synthetic bone nut at the top.
Fender Standard Split Coil Pickups
Delivering the clear, punchy and powerful Fender sound that has the hearts of bassists the world over for decades is the Standard Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup.
The controls are kept nice and simple with Fender’s new knurled chrome P bass knobs, allowing you to adjust your overall sound via Master Volume and Master Tone.
High Quality Hardware
On the body of the Fender Precision Bass, you’ll find a 4-saddle standard vintage-style bridge with single groove saddles.
At the headstock, you’ll find standard open gear machine heads that allow for precise and secure tuning while adding a little retro visual flair with their open gear mechanism with a ‘70s style Fender logo on the front of the headstock.
All hardware has a Chrome finish and the pickguard is 3-ply parchment.
A Legendary Bass Played by Legendary Bassists
Since its introduction in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass has been used by a multitude of legendary bass players.
John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, Nate Mendel of the Foo Fighters and Motown legend James Jamerson, all iconic bassists, are among the many bass players that have used the Fender Precision Bass to craft their art and sound.
Be the next bass player in the incredible lineage of bassists that swear by the Fender Standard Precision Bass.
