Its curvaceous waist lends ergonomic comfort while the double cutaway design makes it easy to reach the higher frets.
A maple neck is attached to the body, sporting a silky smooth satin finish and comfortable modern "C" profile.
A pau ferro fretboard sits atop the neck, with a comfortable 9.5" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets for all around playability.
Versatile Coil-Splitting Options

Equipped with dual humbuckers featuring Alnico II magnets, the Fender Player Lead III boasts a punchy yet decidedly vintage tone.
Master Volume and Master Tone controls are on hand to help shape your sound but more significant alterations are possible thanks to the two toggle switches.
With the first toggle switch you can choose between using either pickup individually or both at once.
The second switch allows you to coil split the pickups, doubling your sonic palette.
The first and third positions split the bridge and neck pickups respectively, giving you that thinner, brighter single-coil tone.
In the middle position, both pickups will remain in humbucker mode.
Simple But Effective Hardware
A 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail bridge can be found on the body of the Fender Player Lead III.
No tremolo, the bridge acts as a solid anchor, working with the natural resonance of the Lead III's alder body.
This resonance and string-through-body design help to increase the sustain too which is great for really singing leads.
Vintage style tuners featuring the classic "F" logo can be found on the headstock.
