Crafting the Montecito Ukulele
Fender have used Koa to craft the entire body of the Montecito uke, giving it a beautifully natural and exotic look.
Furthermore, the top is solid Koa, ensuring great sustain and resonance. As there’s no lamination or adhesives to stifle vibrations, the wood can resonate freely while naturally improving over time.
Adding an extra layer of extravagance is the blue-green abalone top binding that shows up beautifully against the natural Koa wood and completed with the abalone rosette around the sound hole.
The Nato neck has a 17” scale length and features a traditional flat radius Walnut fingerboard which holds 19 vintage style frets.
Great Fender Style and Playability
Adding to its unique look, the Montecito Tenor sized ukulele has true Fender style – you’ll notice it most in the Montecito’s Telecaster style headstock which has 4-in-line vintage style tuning machines.
Aiding the natural tone of the Fender Montecito uke is its open pore satin finish which allows the wood to breath and adds a great texture that is pleasing to both the eye and the touch.
Cream neck and body binding protects the uke while also adding to its great look.
While more traditional ukulele bridges require special knotting of the strings, the Fender Montecito makes use of a no-tie bridge which makes changing strings extremely easy. The natural bone nut and saddle provide for superior intonation.
Tenor Sized Fender Ukulele
Constructed with an all-Koa body, the Fender Montecito Ukulele has superior tone, boasting some really warm mid-range and sparkling top-end.
Coming to you in a padded Fender gig bag, you’ll be able to happily take this ukulele on the road with you, to gigs or just days out when you know you’re going to want to have your uke with you – safe in the knowledge that it will be well protected. It even has storage space for accessories such as spare strings and plectrums.
Featuring authentic Fender style and craftsmanship, the Fender Montecito Tenor Ukulele fuses great looks, sound and playability for an all-around great uke.
