Building the Limited Edition '59 Stratocaster

Alder has been used to craft the distinctive body shape of the 1959 Stratocaster, with its signature double-cutaway design allowing for easy reach of the higher frets - essential for solos and other adventurous styles of play.

Known for its bright, balanced and resonant tone along with an accentuated upper midrange, sharp attack and fantastic sustain, Alder has been a long-time favourite wood for Fender's electric guitar bodies.

Being a heavy relic aged guitar, this limited edition 1959 Stratocaster has an authentic worn-in look and feel.

Weathered and discoloured hardware, a seriously worn finish and a lot of dings in the wood - a Heavy Relic guitar tells a story, looking like an instrument that has been extensively toured throughout the decades, seen a lot of punishment and lived to tell the tale.

'59 Esquire "C" Shape Neck with Modern Enhancements

Attached to the body is an extremely stable '59 Esquire "C" shaped neck crafted from roasted quartersawn Maple. This neck profile offers a comfortable grip while being period-accurate.

Delivering a chimey and bright tone, Maple is favoured by many Fender guitarists due it to its great look, feel and tone.

Atop the neck is an old-school Rosewood fretboard featuring a modern 9.5" radius and high quality Jescar 57110 frets for an easy-to-play, comfortable experience for your fretting hand.

Fantastic Electronics and Hardware

Giving this limited edition Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster its awesome sound is a set of three Fender Texas Special Strat pickups that have been hand wound to perfection.

Overwound for seriously hot output, the Texas Special pickup gives your sound some serious drive with beautifully tight bass and is perfect for searing, raucous blues tones.

A five-way pickup selector switch allows you to choose how you'd like to use the pickups while a master volume and two tone controls allow for further sculpting of your sound.

An American Vintage Strat bridge with synchronised tremolo has been installed and is complete with a vintage upgraded 60's tremolo arm while vintage style tuning machines up on the headstock ensure precise and secure tuning of your strings.
