Fender Custom Shop, '51 Nocaster Relic, Left Handed Telecaster
The name "Nocaster" was adopted by Fender in the wake of a legal-action threat for previously using the name Broadcaster (which another guitar maker had already coined). These prized collectables currently number around only 475 total, and are some of the rarest Fender guitars in existence - brought back to you now courtesy of the Fender Custom Shop with some ever-so-slight modifications.
Vintage Feel, Vintage Looks, Modern Sensibility
Fender have pulled out all the stop to replicate this classic guitar, with a chunkier sound than the telecaster, the Nocaster features an Ash body with maple neck. Two Twisted Tele pickups provide that raw early Fender sound while accompanying vintage spec parts make this Relic model a true beauty, both visually and sonically.
Flash-Coat Lacquer Finish
When we talk about "flash-coat lacquer", we're talking about the topcoat layer of lacquer which has been specifically applied quickly and thinly for that Vintage-style finish. This particular technique allows the instrument's wood to "breathe", giving it a more natural resonance when played.
Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele Pickups
These incredible pickups delivery a hot, high-output Telecaster guitar tone with a sprinkling of Strat character. Each pickup has been specifically tailored to its position, granting the guitar that unique Telecaster sonic character.
Thicker "U" Neck Profile
The neck profile on this guitar heralds back to the original Telecasters of the 1950s. This thicker, "U" shaped neck is ideal for those who play with their thumb on the back or side of the neck, and imparts an authentic vintage playing feel.
Fender 6105 Frets
Whilst being of a similar size to the ever popular Medium Jumbo frets, the 6105 fret is actually slightly slimmer, giving the guitar a much more authentic Vintage feel. Both easy and comfortable to play, this fret-type is fast becoming a popular one amongst Fender enthusiasts the world over.
Period Correct Case
This guitar comes complete with a hard shell case that is designed specifically for this guitar type. Constructed to keep your guitar safe from harm, the case looks authentic to the time period, both inside and out, and comes complete with a lock and key for that extra peace of mind.
