A Telecaster with HUGE Sound

Developed by Leo Fender himself and introduced back in the 1950s, the Fender Telecaster rocked the world of popular music and has since become legendary.

In the late 60s and early 70s, guitarists started to demand a bigger but hum-free sound and so Fender introduced the Fender Telecaster Deluxe in 1973.

Flashforward to today and the Fender American Professional Telecaster Deluxe ShawBucker is here with incredible, modern, player-oriented features and the fat, distinctive sound of ShawBucker humbucking pickups that really push your amp.

American Professional Craftsmanship

Alder has been used to craft the signature shape of the Fender Telecaster body with its single cutaway design allowing for easy reach of the higher frets.

Through sturdy and traditional bolt-on construction, a Maple neck joins the body of the guitar. Designed for speed and comfort, the neck features an American Professional “Deep C” neck profile, which sports more substantial shoulders.

With this increased mass and adjusted geometry, you enjoy a more natural feel that lends itself perfectly to all playing styles.

Atop the neck is a Rosewood fretboard with simple white dot position inlays. The 22 narrow-tall frets are both taller and narrower than medium jumbo frets, making them great for note bending and keeping perfect intonation across the length and breadth of the neck.

Huge ShawBucker Sound

Designed by legendary pickup master Tim Shaw, giving the American Professional Telecaster Deluxe its big and beefy sound are a pair of ShawBucker humbucker style pickups.

Voiced specifically for their position to deliver optimal output, these resigned ShawBucker open-coil humbucking pickups produce multi-dimensional and highly dynamic tones while guarding against electrical noise ensuring a pure sound.

You can retain all the high-end clarity when adjusting the volume controls thanks to Fender’s new treble-bleed tone circuit. Wherever you set your volume, up high or down low, your tone shines brilliantly.

A three-position blade allows you to select how you’d like to use the two pickups. In position one you get the bridge pickup alone, position two utilises both pickups while position three is the neck pickup on its own.

Giving you full control over your sound are four knobs with each pickup having independent tone and volume knobs.

High-End Hardware

On the body of the Fender American Professional Telecaster Deluxe ShawBucker is a vintage-style bridge with a strings-through-body design that enhances sustain. It is equipped with six stamped steel saddles providing accurate intonation and vintage-informed tone.

At the top of the neck, you’ll find a bone nut, a design element inspired by original-era Fender, aiding tone and performance. Many players enjoy the more organic qualities it brings to the guitar’s sound.

Up on the head stock of the American Pro Telecaster Deluxe are six Fender cast and sealed staggered tuning machines which offer quick, accurate and secure tuning of your strings.
