Fender American Professional Stratocaster, seen here with a Maple fretboard and a beautiful Natural finish.

American Professional Stratocaster in Natural

Originally introduced to the world back in 1954, the original Fender Stratocaster has been one of the most popular electric guitars of all time.

The first-choice guitar for many musical legends with some iconic Strat players including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

True to form, Fender were never going to rest on their laurels and have strived to deliver an even better version of this iconic electric guitar. The Fender American Professional Stratocaster is an authentic evolution of the original model that has been loved for decades.

Fender American Professional Quality Build

Fender have used Alder to craft the body of the Stratocaster into that iconic Strat shape which features that deep double cutaway design that allows for easy reach of the higher frets; perfect for solos and adventurous lead playing.

Through sturdy and traditional bolt-on construction, a Maple neck joins the body of the guitar. Specially designed for improved speed and comfort, the neck features an American Professional “Deep C” neck profile, which sports more substantial shoulder than found on its counterparts.

With this increased mass and adjusted geometry, you can enjoy a more natural feel that lends itself perfectly to all playing styles.

Atop the neck is a Maple fretboard with simple black dot position inlays. The 22 narrow-tall frets are both taller and narrower than medium jumbo frets, making them great for note bending and keeping perfect intonation across the length and breadth of the neck.

High-End Hardware

On the body of the Fender American Professional Stratocaster you will find a new two-point synchronised tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles and a pop-in tremolo arm.

No matter how hard you play or how expressive those dive bombs and frantic whammy stretches, this new pop-in tremolo arm stays securely in position. You can also adjust the arm tension to get the perfect feel for your personal preference.

At the top of the Maple fretboard is a bone nut, paying tribute to original-era Fender design while adding to the incredible tone and performance of this guitar. Bone nuts are praised by many for providing a more organic character for your sound.

Exclusive to Fender, the neck features a Bi-Flex truss rod. Unlike standard truss rods, the Bi-Flex truss rod is adjustable in two directions allowing for incredibly precise curvature, regardless of the string gauge in use.

At the headstock, you’ll find Fender standard cast and sealed staggered tuning machines that allow for quick, stable and accurate tuning.

Tim Shaw Designed V-Mod Stratocaster Pickups

Engineered with a proprietary combination of alnico magnet types, V-Mod Stratocaster pickups provide all that workhorse tone and versatility you could need.

Designed by legendary pickup master Tim Shaw, the bridge and neck V-Mod single-coil pickups have been voiced specifically for their position to deliver optimum tone.

They have high-output tone and a special vintage warmth that captures that legendary Fender sound.

You can retain all the high-end clarity when adjusting the volume controls thanks to Fender’s new treble-bleed tone circuit. Wherever you set your volume, up high or down load, your tone shines brilliantly.

To adjust the overall sound of the guitar is a Master Volume knob, which features the treble-bleed, and two Tone controls, one for the neck pickup and the other for both the bridge and middle pickups.

A five-position blade allows you to select how you’d like to utilise the pickups:

  • Position 1: Bridge Pickup
  • Position 2: Bridge and Middle Pickup
  • Position 3: Middle Pickup
  • Position 4: Middle and Neck Pickup
  • Position 5: Neck Pickup
