Coming to you from Corona, California in the USA, the Fender American Performer Telecaster Hum boasts all the great build quality and playability you’d expect from an authentic, American made Fender Telecaster.
Alder is the chosen wood for the body of the American Performer Tele because of its great resonance, upper midrange, sustain and sharp attack.
With its iconic single cutaway design, the Telecaster has that distinctive look you know and love while granting you easy access to the higher frets.
A Maple neck with a modern “C” shape profile is attached to the neck, giving you a comfortable grip while its satin finish makes it super-fast to play.
Atop the neck is a matching Maple fretboard with a modern 9.5” radius so it’s easy to play while the 22 jumbo frets make for easy and accurate bending.
Ultra-Versatile Electronics
Combining the distinct voices and features of a Doubletap Humbucker and a Yosemite single-coil pickup, the Fender American Performer Telecaster Hum provides you with a wide-ranging tonal pallet.
The DoubleTap humbucker boasts a unique, patent-applied for tone that gives you the sounds of both a humbucker and a single-coil, switchable via a push-pull function. Furthermore, the unique design of this pickup eliminates the volume loss that is common in split-coil pickups.
In the bridge pickup position, the Yosemite single-coil Telecaster gives you rich and expressive tone. Featuring wax potting, the coil of the Yosemite pickup can breathe while feedback is kept firmly under control.
Master Volume and Tone knobs are on hand allowing for further tonal tailoring while the Greasebucket circuit allows you to roll off the highs without adding bass, retaining your crisp and clear sound.

The Fender American Performer Telecaster Hum has a strings-thru-body Tele bridge which offers great transfer of energy from the strings to the body, enhancing sustain.
