For players that want something that offers a little more than the Mexican-made Fender Player series, without the expense of an American Elite, the American Performer fits the bill.
Made in America
Fender have opted for Alder to be used as the body wood of the new Jazzmaster due to its excellent sustain, pronounced upper midrange and great resonance.
Flaunting a distinctive and elegant offset waist, the Jazzmaster has a nice form fitting body shape. Furthermore, the cutaway design allows for easy reach of the upper frets which is great for high-flying lead guitar and solos.
The Maple neck on the Fender American Performer Jazzmaster features a modern “C” shape profile so it’s very comfortable to play. Furthermore, it has a satin finish so it’s super smooth and lightning fast.
A traditional Rosewood fretboard is used offering that familiar playing feel and a modern 9.5” radius for great playability.
The fretboard holds 22 jumbo frets making accurate bends a breeze to pull off.
New Yosemite Pickups
Two Fender Yosemite single-coil pickups are installed to give the Fender American Performer Jazzmaster highly versatile voicing.
Newly designed pickups the Yosemite Jazzmaster single-coils offer rich and expressive tone suitable for virtually any musical scenario
Featuring flat-staggered pole pieces for increased output and shellac potting to allow the coil to breathe while controlling feedback, Fender Yosemite pickups deliver wonderfully dynamic tone.
A three-position toggle allows you to choose to use either pickup or both together at once.
You can further shape your sonic output with Master Volume and Master Tone controls.
Better yet, thanks to the use of a Greasebucket tone circuit, you can roll off the highs without adding bass. The end result is clearer, pristine tone.
High Quality Hardware
Nickel and Chrome finished hardware is used, perfectly complementing this expertly built electric guitar.
Up on the headstock is a set of six Fender ClassicGear tuning machines providing a old-school cool in the looks department while their 18:1 turning ratio allows for ultra-precise tuning.
The synchronised tremolo bridge continues that great vintage style and has 6-saddles for precise intonation.
