Crafting the New Fender Jazzmaster
Alder has been used for the body of the American Performer Jazzmaster because of its fantastic resonance, excellent sustain, pronounced upper mids and sharp attack.
The elegantly offset waist gives the Jazzmaster an ergonomic feel and distinctive appearance.
The cutaway shoulders provide easy access to the upper frets so it’s easy to pull off guitar solos too!
A modern “C” shaped Maple neck provides comfort while its super-smooth satin finish facilitates lightning-fast performance.
Adding to the great playability of the neck is its modern 9.5” radius Rosewood fretboard while 22 jumbo frets allow for easy and accurate bends.
New Yosemite Jazzmaster Pickups
Equipped with two Yosemite single-coil pickups, the Fender American Performer Jazzmaster boasts an incredibly versatile voice.
Designed to deliver rich and expressive tone, these Jazzmaster pickups have flat-staggered pole pieces for increased output.
They also benefit from shellac potting allowing the coils to breathe while keeping feedback under control.
Using the three-position pickup switch you can choose between using either pickup individually or both at once.
Master Volume and Master Tone knobs are also on hand allowing you to further shape your sound. Plus, you can even roll off the highs without adding bass because of the Greasebucket circuit so you can retain your crispy clear tone.
High Quality Hardware
Completing this awesome new Fender Jazzmaster is a complement of Nickel and Chrome finished hardware.
Up on the headstock, there are six Fender ClassicGear tuning machines with 18:1 turning ratio for ultra-precise tuning.
On the body, there’s a vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge providing dynamic trem action while the six saddles allow for precise intonation across the board.
