The Fender 70th Anniversary Broadcaster, seen here with a Blackguard Blonde finish, is a vintage-style axe that takes you back to the very beginning.
In celebration of the remarkable origins of the solid-bodied electric guitar, this 70th Anniversary Broadcaster has been built to look, feel, and sound just like the original.
A Celebration Of A Legend
During the autumn of 1950, the world of guitar and popular music changed forever with the introduction of the Broadcaster, Fender's first solid body electric guitar.
Unfortunately, due to copyright issues, the name was soon removed from guitar headstocks, leading it to be called "Nocaster" for a time, until Fender settled on the now-legendary Telecaster moniker.
This awesome, limited-run guitar has been crafted to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the original Broadcaster, with period-accurate specs, and even a vintage hardshell case to keep it safe.

Classic 1950 Specs
This guitar sports a lightweight Ash body, and has been given a Blackguard Blonde lacquer finish that really shows off the ash's natural wood grain.
In addition to this, the guitar has been given a period-accurate black phenolic pickguard, that makes a striking contrast to the blonde finish and Maple fingerboard.
Not only that, but the neck has been given a thick "U"-profile shape - the classic "Bassball Bat" profile that's often a favourite of vintage guitar lovers.
Hand-Wound Pickups
To deliver that classic Broadcaster "twang" - the sound that inspired a whole new generation of guitar players - Fender have opted to fit this guitar with a set of Custom Shop, handwound '50-'51 Blackguard single coil pickups.
The pickups have been wired with a standard Telecaster setup, but within the included hardshell case there's an optional wiring kit, which allows you to replicate the unique "blend" circuit of the original Broadcaster.
Limited Availability
As stated above: this limited edition guitar will only be available to buy through 2020, making it a true collector's item that would make a great centrepiece to any players collection.
