Built for Speed
Thanks to the spectacular design features on this guitar, you can settle into those dynamic riffs and high-octane lead lines with ease.
Inspired by the previously-released Striped Series 5150, these new EVH 5150 Series guitars feature the same familiar dual-cutaway body, albeit with an upper body curve modified for extra comfort.
Fitted to this body is a sleek, bolt-on maple neck, with a modified "C" shape and a compound radius fretboard. The end result is a neck that's instantly comfortable, wherever your hand is, and however fast you play.
In addition to this, the headstock on this guitar sports the familiar "hockey stick" look that Eddie was famous for using during the early days of Van Halen.
Specially Designed Pickups
Situated at the neck and bridge positions on this guitar's body is a set of EVH Wolfgang humbuckers, delivering the kind of tones that Eddie Van Halen is renowned for.
With the Alnico 2 bridge position humbucker you get a superb level of articulation and punch with plenty of sustain, making it perfect for heavy riffs and chunky power chords.
In the neck position, you get a pickup that can take you through no-nonsense overdrive and endless sustain, through to nice articulate cleans with ease, simply by rolling the volume back.
In addition to this, the custom-designed EVH-branded low-friction volume control allows for accurate volume tapering and smooth volume swells.
High Quality Appointments
For the dive-bomb enthusiasts out there, there's an EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose bridge with fine-tuners, and corresponding locking nut.
In addition to this there's a set of EVH-branded Gotoh tuning machines, and a patented EVH D-Tuna, which allows you to switch back and forth from standard tuning to Drop-D and back again with ease.
