The Evans Tri-Center Extended Collar Conga Drumhead maintains the feel of an animal skin drumhead whilst eliminating the typical issues that come with a natural drum skin. Fits 11 ¾” Congas.
Natural Feel Conga Head
Evans Tri-Center series was designed specifically for Congas. Part of Evans World range of drumheads, the Conga Tri-Center has a texture that emulates the feel and sound of an animal skin drumhead.
Whereas animal skins can often lose tension and responsiveness in the centre of the head, Evans have designed the Tri-Center to specifically eliminate this issue. These heads work to minimise overtones and add weight to the centre of the head to enhance the fundamental tone of the Conga.
The result is a robust, consistent drum head with a natural feel that offers a full, rich tone.
The Evans Conga Tri-Center is available in sizes from 9 ¾” to 12 ½”.
Level 360 Technology
As with all Evans drum heads, the Tri-Center series features unique Level 360 Technology.
This technology means the rim of the drum head has a vertically enhanced collar which ensures balanced contact with the shell bearing edge. This results in a proper contact between the head and the shell, ensuring a consistent fit so that the head won't damage easily or lose tension. The drumhead rim also features a roll-over hoop designed to improve the strength and stability of the head without diminishing performance.
This technology ensures a more consistent head to shell contact that provides a wider range of tuning, better responsiveness and resonance, and a stronger, longer lasting head. What’s not to like?
