The Evans EMAD Bass Reso Drumhead offers a stylish, ported option for your bass drum. It features an internal dampening ring around the edge of the mic port to control overtones.
Resonant EMAD = REMAD
This black single ply 10mil resonant drum head features an offset 4” microphone port making it ideal for live and studio situations.
Similar to the batter head EMADs, this reso head comes with a black, noise-free plastic sleeve that holds a foam dampening ring to suppress unwanted overtones. Positioned internally around the microphone port, the dampening ring serves to focus pitch and enhance attack.
The foam ring can be removed or added quickly and easily to adjust the bass drum tone to suit your requirements.
Level 360 Technology
As Evans Drumheads feature unique Level 360 Technology.
This technology means the rim of the drum head has a vertically enhanced collar which ensures balanced contact with the shell bearing edge. This results in a proper contact between the head and the shell, ensuring a consistent fit so that the head won't damage easily or lose tension. The drumhead rim also features a roll-over hoop designed to improve the strength and stability of the head without diminishing performance.
This technology ensures a more consistent head to shell contact that provides a wider range of tuning, better responsiveness and resonance, and a stronger, longer lasting head. What’s not to like?
