The EC-256FM is perfect evidence of this, offering you the kind of features normally associated with high-end guitars but at a price that's significantly less than £500.
Excellent for all musical styles and genres
The ESP Ltd EC-256FM features a thinly constructed classic guitar shape, instantly familiar to anyone who's ever seen a guitar in their life. The body is constructed of Mahogany, a lightweight yet solid wood that's used in the construction of many of the most popular guitars out there, and features a gorgeous Flamed Maple exotic wood top finished in a lacquered Lemon Drop finish. There's a binding on the body, neck and headstock, and the Thin U contoured set-neck construction makes for fast and easy access to even the highest frets.
The Pickups
The ESP Designed LH-150 humbucker pickups give you all the growl that you'd expect coming from a guitar of this shape, but if you pull the Tone control knob it activates the split coil circut, giving you two Single Coil pickups to play with and offering you a whole host of new tones with which to experiment. Whilst this guitar sounds exquisite with high-gain distortion and overdrive settings, the pickups are equally as clear and articulate when played through a clean signal in either Humbucker or Single Coil mode, giving you a near endless array of tones to play around with.
