Building the Epiphone G-400 Deluxe PRO
The Epiphone G-400 Deluxe PRO has been made to the same dimensions as the original Gibson SG with the same build techniques used at Gibson's legendary Kalamazoo factory back in the 60s.
Mahogany has been used for the G-400 Deluxe PRO's body as is tradition with the double cutaway design allowing for easy reach of the upper frets.
As a deluxe model, this Epiphone G-400 also boasts a Flame Maple top which adds to the incredible presentation of this gorgeous electric guitar.
Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck boasting a 1960s SlimTaper "D" profile for that old-school playing feel that made the original Gibson SG so popular.
A Pau Ferro fretboard is fitted to the neck and features a 12" radius which is ideal for lead guitar and wide bends.
Alnico Classic PRO Humbuckers with Coil Splitting
The Epiphone G-400 Deluxe PRO offers great sonic versatility thanks to its multi-featured electronics.
Giving the G-400 Deluxe PRO its powerful voice is a set of Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers.
A three-way pickup switch allows you to use both pickups at once or individually. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls with 500K potentiometers allowing you to shape your sound to your own preference.
The pickups can also be coil-tapped by lifting the volume knobs, turning them into single-coil pickups, really expanding your tonal potential.
High Quality Hardware
Rocking a gold finish, the hardware on the Epiphone G-400 Deluxe Pro looks as good as it performs.
On the body, you'll find a LockTone bridge providing precise intonation and improved sustain.
Wilkinson Vintage Classic tuning machines can be found on the headstock, allow for incredibly precise tuning thanks to their 18:1 ratio.
