Traditionally, the solid mahogany body and superior construction of a full-sized Les Paul makes it a bit trickier for younger players to wield as their first axe. The Les Paul Express is a much more comfortable, accessible guitar, well-suited for travelling and first time players! Retaining the same mahogany body, Epiphone have used a bolt-on maple neck which helps improve playability and tuning stability when employed on a 3/4-sized body.
Short-scale Les Paul that puts big, solidbody tone into a bite-sized package. Great for smaller hands or first-time players after a comfortable fit.
Additionally, the fully-adjustable Epiphone FB-601 "fixed" bridge makes string changes a breeze. Finally, the neck is bolted in place securely using four recessed bolts set into a tapered heel making upper fret access easy and comfortable.
The Les Paul Express features an Epiphone 650R humbucker in the neck position and an Epiphone 700T in the bridge position. Both pickups share the same qualities as Seth Lover's original PAF humbuckers of the late '50s and feature Alnico pickups that give you an infinite variety of tone colors and sounds.
