Instead of taking stock products off the shelf, Electro-Voice have manufactured everything to their own specs, from the box, to the driver, to the amp and the DSP.
Next, all the components are assembled in the US to attain the high-quality standards that Electro-Voice pride themselves on.
Powerful Bass Sound
The 18-inch DVX woofer provides extended low-frequency response, with a frequency range of 28Hz- 180Hz and a 135dB peak SPL.
Nice, clean, and very low bottom end gives your audio that incredible bass that you don’t just hear, but feel – perfect for school discos, wedding receptions and other entertainment functions.
Awesome DSP with FIR-Drive Technology
A huge number of features allow you to tailor the sound to suit any application and get the most out of your audio.
A large, brightly lit display screen provides all the information you require with a wheel to the right of the display allowing for easy navigation through the system’s comprehensive yet intuitive menus.
Normally found in a separate rack mount unit, the ETX-18SP has some seriously powerful and convenient EQ and DSP options integrated within the unit.
Really setting apart Electro-Voice products is the program known as FIR-Drive. Combining DSP and other Electro-Voice technological advances with the use of both software and hardware components, Electro-Voice have produced a fantastic, proprietary processing system that delivers the ultimate performance.
Great Portability and Setup Options
Making the ETX-18SP powered sub easy to take on the road, Electro-Voice have designed the cabinet to have large, easy-to-hold, comfortable handles on either side.
It also comes equipped with removable casters so it can be wheeled across the floor with ease, making setting up and packing away a breeze.
The case of the ETX-18SP is extremely well made from Birch wood and is most certainly road worthy; able to withstand a hefty beating.
Recesses in each corner of the top surface allows for easy stacking while a combo pole cup (insert and threaded) makes it easy to mount full range loudspeakers.
Two XLR/TRS combo jack inputs along with two XLR link outputs offer a host of connectivity options.
