EHX's original Zipper Envelope Filter - introduced in the 1970s - is now an incredibly rare and sought-after collector's piece that commands a pretty penny for anyone who wishes to own one. With the Tube Zipper, however, Electro Harmonix have arguably not only recreated a classic, but have also managed to improve upon it!

Not only does the new EHX Tube Zipper function better and more reliably than the original, but it also offers a much greater selection of tones and enhanced effects.
Tube it Up
In addition to the fabulous Envelope Filter circuitry, the Tube Zipper also features a valve-driven distortion unit, powered by a pair of 12AX7 tubes that plug into the top of the box (hence the unusual looking bar across the pedal - there to keep the valves safe), with the only "downside" being that the pedal needs to be powered via AC adapter and not batteries.

- True bypass using a mechanical relay
- Overdrive stage allows interaction with the envelope follower for hard hitting sweeps and frequency color
- Tron mode allows the filter to sweep smoothly, following your amplitude's envelope
- Trill mode allows modulation to be added to the envelope as the filter sweeps
