Vintage Looks, Rock Solid Playability

With the Eastcoast GP200 you get an ideal instrument for an aspiring bassist, that's suitable for most styles of music. Inspired by one of the most popular bass guitars ever made, but made even more versatile with the addition of an extra pickup in the bridge position.

The Pickups

Featuring both a Split Coil "P-Style" pickup in the Middle position, and a Single Coil "J-Style" pickup at the bridge, the Eastcoast GP200 can put out a wide variety of classic tones, heard on literally thousands of records over the years.

With the Split Coil pickup, you get that familiar, thumping bass tone, usually associated with the famous P-Bass that this instrument is based upon. The Single Coil pickup, on the other hand, produces a growly, "biting" and articulate tone that's been closely associated with some of the funkier styles of the popular music over the years.

Each pickup has an individual volume control, and they share a Master Tone control pot between them, all of which comes together to let you dial in the perfect sound for your situation.

Vintage Vibe

The original inspiration for the Eastcoast GP200 (the P-Bass) was introduced in the early 1950s, and it has changed very little in the 60+ years since. There's many reasons why these basses are amongst the most popular on the planet, and the Eastcoast GP200 helps to recapture a lot of them.

Not only does the Eastcoast GP200 look similar, even down to the vintage-style tortoiseshell pickguard, but the neck is of a familiarly-chunky feel too - just like those vintage basses that it draws inspiration from.
