EarthQuaker Devices founder Jamie Stillman was inspired by the distinct characteristics of his three favorite delay pedals. This led to the development of the Silos, an innovative device that integrates digital, analog, and tape delay effects into a single, streamlined unit. After extensive development, the Silos emerged, featuring four control knobs, a three-way mode switch, a Save/Recall button, and two footswitches, providing comprehensive control and versatility.
Each mode of the Silos offers up to one second of delay time, surpassing the capabilities of other delay pedals. The delay time from noon to zero is up to 500 milliseconds, providing a unique tonal character. Extending from 500 milliseconds to one second introduces a different dynamic. Shorter delay times excel in creating atmospheric effects, while longer delay times enhance rhythmic patterns and add depth to your playing. The precise and responsive tap tempo function ensures accurate timing, allowing for seamless integration into your musical performance.
