New and Improved Hummingbird V4!
This versatile hand-made little birdy is fresh from the production line of EarthQuaker Devices in Akron, Ohio (USA) and is now for sale here in the UK at PMT Stores nationwide (as well as PMT Online, of course). The Hummingbird V4 is modeled on a vintage repeat percussion unit, similar to those found in old Vox amplifiers, and is capable of producing an array of sounds, from classic 50's style shimmers to a bursty, pingy chop and almost ring modulation-like speeds.

The key to variety on this little bad boy is most certainly the 3-way toggle switch, labeled Mode. Each of these modes determine the range of the oscillator (Mode 1 for slow, 2 for mid tempo and 3 for fast). Combining these modes with adjustments to the Rate and Depth control knobs unlocks a whole new world of modulated sonic possibilities for you!
Additionally, the Rate control can be adjusted using an expression pedal, allowing you to make changes on the fly. And if you're feeling particularly greedy, you can even make use of the Hummingbird as a JFET clean boost: just tune Depth down to zero and away you go!
What's New?
In addition to the new top-mounted jack sockets, the Hummingbird V4 features a fun and expressive Flexi-Switch. This switch allows you to use the pedal in momentary mode, to give you short or long bursts of accentuation, depending on just how long you hold the switch down for. Magic!
