DW Boom Cymbal Arm

The DW boom arm offers the robust built quality you’d expect from Drum Workshop combined with well thought out functional features to offer a great way to add an additional cymbal to your kit or percussion set up without the need for another stand.

Memory Lock

The DW SM912S boom arm features a memory lock which allows you to mark out your ideal set up position. This then enables you to achieve a consistent setup position quickly and easily every time.

The ½” diameter of the boom means the arm fits neatly into the boom tilter of DW hardware stands or can be clamped to other hardware stands using the DW Dogbone or Mega Clamp Eye Bolt (sold separately). The result is a way to easily add another cymbal to your rig without the need for more bulky hardware stands.

Toothless Tilter

The DW cymbal arm is fitted with a toothless tilter which allows infinite adjustment and secure positioning of your cymbals to ensure you achieve your perfect playing position.

TechLock

The boom arm also features a TechLock. This is a secondary, locking system that was inspired by working drum techs. Once you’ve set your cymbal to the angle you want you simply tighten the tilter into place and then have the option to lock it in place to ensure your cymbals remain exactly where you place them. It’s a safeguard against slippage that gives your set up added security.

Integrated Cymbal Seat and Wingnut Felt

The boom arm is topped with an integrated cymbal seat which can be locked to the cymbal stand with a standard drum key. The cymbal seat keeps your cymbals protected, preventing them from touching the cymbal stand which can result in keyholing and cracks. The cymbal stand wingnut also has a felt attached to it to further protect your cymbals from metal on metal contact with the stand.
