Anybody familiar with the workings of Karnivool bassist Jon Stockman will know that he constructs some of the most unique, recognisable and downright devastating bass tones on the planet. With that in mind, Darkglass Electronics set about working with Jon to produce a brand new Overdrive / Distortion pedal for us low-end lovers, and they came up with the incredible Alpha · Omega, a supremely flexible effects pedal with two distinct distortion circuits and a 3-band EQ.
The Beginning & The End
Featuring a fully operational amplifier based design, those two excellent distortion circuits (Alpha & Omega), "Bite" and "Growl" toggle switches, the 3-band EQ and even DI capabilities, the sky is certainly the limit with the Alpha · Omega.
Two Distortion Circuits
The two circuits can be summed up pretty easily: Alpha is punchy and tight with plenty of definition, whereas Omega is simply brutal and raw. The excellent Mod control knob allows you to choose one or the other... OR a subtle blend of the two of them!
Speaking of Blend
As with all Darkglass distortion pedals, the Alpha · Omega comes complete with a Blend control knob. This control mixes the clean and processed signals, making sure that your pure basstones have all of the definition they need, even when overlaid with distortion.

Warning: The Alpha Omega has a current draw of 30mA. Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a centre-negative plug. Due to ecological reasons, it doesn't accept batteries.
