Since their founding in 1997, Cordoba have sought to guide the evolution of the nylon string guitar, blending traditional craftsmanship of the early master luthiers with more modern techniques and developments. The Maple 12 is a prime example of this vision, and belongs within their Fusion series of nylon-string modern classical guitars.
All the warmth, body and resonance of a traditional "Classical" guitar
Cordoba's Fusion series is a line of high-quality crossover/hybrid style nylon string guitars that have been specially designed to play and feel like steel string acoustics. They feature thinner necks than the more traditional Spanish-style "Classical" guitars and a radiused fingerboard to give you a steel-string feel and level of playability.
In addition to the gorgeous domed soundboard and fan-bracing patterned design, the Maple features an under-saddle Piezo style pickup and Fishman Presys preamp, allowing you to project an accurate representation of your sound via a PA system or acoustic amplifier.
This particular model has been constructed with a solid European spruce top and flamed maple back and sides, with the body starting at the 12th fret. It comes complete with an ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, binding and headstock overlay, and a hand-inlaid rosette of maple & rosewood.
This guitar comes complete with a deluxe Cordoba gig bag.
